


Weatherby recently announced the debut of its newest shotgun line, the Weatherby 18i. Moreover, the new semi-automatic comes in three variants, including Waterfowler, Deluxe and Synthetic models.
Firstly, the 18i series of semi-automatic shotguns utilizes the proven inertia system, according to Weatherby. Also, the receiver features a one-piece design machined from billet aluminum. Additionally, the design delivers strength and reliability for high-volume shooting. Further, the 18i provides reliable cycling in an evenly-weighted gun, according to Weatherby.
Weatherby 18i Features
The 18i Synthetic model features a 12-gauge, 28-inch barrel with a 3 1/2-inch Super Magnum chamber. Additionally, the Synthetic model utilizes an advanced polymer stock designed for a seamless fit to the shooter with a soft touch area on the cheek rest and aggressive texture in the palm and foregrip, according to Weatherby. Also, the material stands up to harsh environments. Finally, the safety resides behind the trigger for easy manipulation. Finally, the Synthetic retails for $1,099.
Further, sharing many features of the Synthetic, the 18i Waterfowler features a dipped Realtree Max 5 pattern for concealment. Additionally, the Waterfowler retails for $1,199. Meanwhile, the 18i Deluxe sports a European Walnut stock and engraved nickel receiver and high-gloss blued barrel. Also, the Deluxe retails for $1,899.
Above all, the Synthetic and Waterfowler models come in 12-gauge; meanwhile, the Deluxe model feature both 12- and 20-gauge variants. Additionally, each 12-gauge model features a 28-inch barrel, while the 20-gauge also comes in a 26-inch length. Moreover, each shotgun includes five flush fit choke tubes with a choke tube wrench. Finally, an included small case keeps the choke set organized. In addition, the 18i is Weatherby’s first 3 1/2-inch shotgun.
