LWRC International is known for making tank-tough ARs using the company’s innovative gas piston operating system. LWRCI’s Monoforge upper receivers are extra strong and essentially provide a free-floating handguard that is integral with the upper.

Another LWRCI product making waves recently is the Individual Carbine, or IC, platform, which pairs the company’s gas piston operating system and Monoforge upper with a fully ambidextrous lower receiver. All of the controls are present on both sides for left- and right-handed shooters, making all of the IC variants popular among citizens as well as military and law enforcement personnel.

For 2016, LWRCI has unveiled its new Compact Semi-Auto Sniper System (CSASS), a .308 Winchester/7.62mm NATO AR that serves as the next evolution for LWRCI’s weapon systems.

Like the IC platform, the CSASS has fully ambidextrous controls and a Monoforge upper receiver with a free-floating forend. The model shown in the video features a 12.7-inch barrel, but 16- and 20-inch barrels are also available.

For the ultimate in reliability, LWRCI installs a 20-position gas block, allowing shooters to fine-tune the rifle for suppressor use, specific ammunition or environmental conditions. Unlike the REPR, it has a top-mounted, ambidextrous charging handle, while the lower is equipped with a Geissele SSA two-stage trigger and a SOPMOD collapsible stock.

Finally, the entire rifle is coated in a new tungsten grey Cerakote finish.
